Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Unified Soccer Tournament on Saturday 9/27! Event volunteers are needed to assist with event logistics, score/timekeeping and registration (more details below). Event volunteers must be age 14, unless accompanied by a parent, guardian or chaperone. Volunteers are welcome to join us for a shift or a combination of shifts during the duration of the soccer tournament.
Volunteer Opportunity Description
Below are the available volunteer assignments for this event.
Set-Up (8:00-9:00) - Help set up equipment and field for event
Ball Runner (8:30-10:30, 10:00-1:00) - Retrieve balls that go out of bounds and give to the referee
Line Judge (8:30-10:30, 10:00-1:00) - Use flag to indicate that the ball has gone out of bounds
Referee (8:30-10:30) - Enforcers of the rules. In charge of watching the game and ensuring the game is being played safely and fairly. Soccer rules knowledge required.
Scorekeeper (8:30-10:30, 10:00-1:00) - Keeping track of score and time during the games, in between the games, a volunteer will return the final score to the registration table.
Timekeeper (8:30-10:30, 10:00-1:00) - Timers will be provided with a stopwatch or can use their phones to keep time. The soccer game includes a 10-minute warm-up, two 15-minute halves, and a 5-minute halftime break.
Volunteer2Cheer (8:30-10:30, 10:00-1:00) - Your applause and encouragement are an important part of our athletes’ experience, and make competitions more fun for everyone involved. So come cheer your heart out!
Other Important Information
Community service hours are provided! Just email the event organizer post-event and the necessary verification will be provided.
Volunteers must be at least 14 years old to participate.
