The 2026 Library of Congress National Book Festival will be a part of the Library’s celebration of the nation’s semiquincentennial, America 250: It’s Your Story, where the Library will expand its programming to include film, music, veterans history and American folklife.
Volunteer Opportunity Description
There are lots of fun ways to get involved! You can help out as a hall chaperone, line monitor, usher, entrance greeter, and more.
Other Important Information
To volunteer, you need to be at least 16 years old. You'll also need to sign a volunteer agreement, pick up your t-shirt the week before the festival, attend a 90-minute training (either in person or online), and commit to at least one 4.5-hour shift.
Shift times available: afternoon (12:00pm-4:30pm) and evening (4:00pm-8:30pm)
