Elementary School Poetry Slam

DC Scores

DC SCORES slams are the biggest youth poetry events in the DMV, with more than 3,500 young people performing over two nights. Poet-athletes will take to the stage as they perform original spoken word poetry in a competition judged by some of the top poets in the DMV.

Volunteer Opportunity Description

Volunteers will help during the event in several ways! The two main tasks include ushering spectators to their seats and helping incoming families fill out an annual survey. 

Other Important Information

• Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to participate.

• Shift times include:

  • 9:00am - 1:00pm

  • 1:00pm - 5:00pm
