Lovers’ Lane - approximately 200 feet east of R Street and 31st Street NW; it's signposted by a green-on-white wooden plaque reading,  “Dumbarton Oaks Park, Open Dawn to Dusk.”

Volunteer Opportunity Description

DOPC Volunteer stewardship activities engage participants in restoration projects throughout Dumbarton Oaks Park. This includes removal of invasive plants and caring for newly planted shrubs and trees. Gloves, snacks, tools and training provided. We look forward to welcoming you to the Park!

Other Important Information

• All ages are welcome! Students under 18 must have their parents sign the waiver forms:

  • Forms: DOPC Volunteer Waiver and NPS Individual Volunteer Form. Please fill out/sign, digitally or print & scan, and send them back to us prior to the volunteer event. Each volunteer needs to fill out both forms in advance. You can email completed forms to info@dopark.org.

• Bring: We recommend wearing long pants, long-sleeved shirts, socks, and closed-toe shoes for protection, and bringing a water bottle.

• We Supply: gloves, tools, training, snacks, and supplementary water.
